Buildings Fail for a Reason. We Find It.

CONSURV is an independent building surveying consultancy specialising in building pathology, conservation and the investigation of complex building defects.

We advise on the condition, performance, repair and conservation of commercial, historic and traditionally constructed buildings throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe.

Our work extends beyond the identification of visible defects. We assess the building’s construction, materials, exposure, maintenance history and internal environment to determine the cause, extent and significance of deterioration and provide technically justified recommendations.

significance of deterioration and provide technically justified recommendations.

Diagnosis Before Recommendation

Recommendations for remedial action must be based on an informed assessment of the underlying defect, rather than its visible symptoms alone.

Where visual inspection alone is insufficient, targeted testing, monitoring and non-destructive investigation may be used to assess concealed construction and establish the condition of the affected fabric. The findings inform recommendations appropriate to the building, the materials present and the nature of the defect.
